‍Arriving by car - the postcode for sat-navs is SY8 1DJ

‍Coming from the north (Shrewsbury direction): Follow the main A49 road past Church Stretton and Craven Arms, until you reach the first junction for Ludlow (B4361). Fork left off the A49 here and follow the B4361 through the outskirts of Ludlow until you pass a petrol station (Applegreen). Shortly after this, the road bends to the left and you are then in Corve Street with its mixture of timber-framed and Georgian buildings. The Maltster’s House is about 50 yards from the bend on the left-hand side. You can park outside temporarily to unload, or there are parking spaces (up to 2 hours only) on the opposite side of the street.

‍Coming from the south (Hereford direction): Follow the A49 past Leominster and Woofferton until you reach the first turning for Ludlow (B4361). Fork left here and follow the B4361 until you drop down a hill to the single-track Ludford Bridge, where there are traffic lights. Cross the bridge and then immediately turn to the right, following the main road, which then bends to the left and climbs a hill. At the top of the hill there is a set of traffic lights. Go straight over this junction and the road starts dropping down a hill - you have now entered Corve Street. At the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill, by Tesco, carry straight on. The Maltsters House is about 50 yards on the right hand side of the street. You can park outside temporarily to unload, or there are parking spaces (up to 2 hours only) on the opposite side of the street.

‍Coming from the east - the HIGH route (Birmingham, Kidderminster, M5): Follow the A456 through Kidderminster, stay on the A456 which by-passes Bewdley, and turn right after a few miles on to the A4117 (signposted Cleobury Mortimer). Follow the A4117 through Cleobury Mortimer and over Clee Hill (this is a beautiful road but with plenty of sharp bends and steep hills) down towards Ludlow. You will reach a roundabout which is the junction with the A49 Ludlow by-pass. Take the second turning off the roundabout (signposted Ludlow), follow this road until you get to a mini-roundabout by the One Stop Shop. Carry straight on here, down the hill, under a railway bridge and over a river bridge and you will reach a junction with the B4361. Turn sharp left (signposted Ludlow or Town Centre) here. You will pass a petrol station (Applegreen).

‍Coming from the east - the LOW route (M5): This is even more beautiful!

‍From M5, avoiding directions via Kidderminster (which is the AA preferred route), take the beautiful undulating route through the Teme Valley. Exit the M5 at Junction 5 Droitwich, heading west on A38, then at major roundabout take A4133 to Ombersley. Keep on A4133 to Holt Heath, where the road changes its number to the A443, via Great Witley and Abberley to Newnham Bridge, where you join the A456 towards Leominster and Shrewsbury. At the T junction with the A49 (the Salwey Arms is opposite), turn right, going north up the A49 towards Shrewsbury. There are 3 exits to Ludlow. The first exit brings you into Ludlow over Ludford Bridge. Follow the river to the right, then take the main road which bears left, up Old Street, to the Bullring at the top. Continue straight on over the brow of the hill, down Corve Street. At the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill, by Tesco, carry straight on. The Maltsters House is about 50 yards on the right hand side of the street. You can park outside temporarily to unload, or there are parking spaces (up to 2 hours only) on the opposite side of the street.
